Beyond the Land of Dreams: Beryl's Awakening is a work of fiction in the fantasy, coming-of-age, and metaphysical fiction subgenres. The work can be enjoyed by mature young adults and adult readers alike, and it was penned by author Susan Bruck. In this ethereal work of fantasy adventure, we follow the exploits of Beryl, our fifteen-year-old protagonist, as she receives a dark threat from a shadowy figure in her dreams. Believing the land of Floredelis to be in danger, Beryl embarks on a quest where she encounters magical creatures, figures of great wisdom, and the possibility of evil within herself. Self-discovery and the power of compassion could win the day if Beryl can learn and grow in time.
Author Susan Bruck has crafted a deeply emotional and introspective work of fantasy that challenges everything we know about traditional adventure novels, working instead from a higher plane of thinking. All of the major plot points, twists, and turns of this exciting and enjoyable work are deeply linked to Beryl’s own psyche and emotional state, mirroring the surreal discoveries of the likes of Alice in Wonderland, but with a more holistic and harmonious goal toward self-healing as its end result. Wondra’s Alphabet Adventure
Mother Earth has created a wonderful place to live, but she longs for star children to come and share it with her. These richly imaginative stories, each one based on one letter of the alphabet, tell how the star children came to earth and follow the adventures of Wondra and his friends--Blue the Bear, Gloria the Gnome, Thunderpaws the Cat, and many others. The stories begin with A and end with Z, but in between, the stories meander through the letters, following the seasons, to bring the journey to life.
In Waldorf schools, letters are taught through stories, not in alphabetical order. Susan created these stories and images to teach letters to her class through nature stories. Each week, they heard a new story, drew their own pictures, made the letters with their bodies, and finally drew their own letters in their letter books. It was a grand adventure—shared here for all to enjoy.
